{TTT} Books Should be Accompanied by Soundtracks

Posted February 16, 2016 in Reading / 2 Comments

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link-up hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

The theme this week is Books and Music. I really don’t listen to a whole lot of music, so this might be a bit hard. Typically, I only put music on when I am driving across town (5 minutes). Anything longer than that will be at least one hour and forty minutes since I live in Montana and things are so spread out. Longer drive warrant an audiobook.

I guess this means that this week I am going to give you some books (more like three) I think should have songs/ballads written about them. If there actually are songs written about any of these books, I am most likely completely oblivious to that fact. Please let me know in the comments.

1. The Harry Potter Series

I would totally listen to songs based on the Harry Potter series. I know there are the movie soundtracks and all, but imagine a ballad that tells the whole story of Harry Potter. That would be pretty amazing.

2. The Green Rider Series

So, the Green Rider series has bards and, at times, song lyrics are quoted. Estral even sings some of them. I would love to hear these actually set to music. This should totally happen.

3. The Winner’s Trilogy

I’m sure I can’t be the only one who would love to hear the music played by Kestral and Arin. This should exist immediately. It would be so awesome to hear.

Basically, any book that references music in any way should provide the music to readers. It would just be so very nice to read about someone singing a song and then be able to actually listen to someone sing the song.

This may not be the best list, but this is all that I could come up with. I hope you weren’t too bored reading it. 🙂 Feel free to share yours as well and check out the rest of them at The Broke and the Bookish.
