A Mad, Wicked Folly

A Mad, Wicked FollyΒ is yet another book that I requested the library to purchase and they did. I am excited to be reading this one. I have heard some mixed things about it, so I’ll have to see what I think. I should be finishing it soon… when I have time to read again.

FromΒ A Mad, Wicked FollyΒ by Sharon Biggs Waller:

Going to jail is our way to wrong-foot the law.
We’re denied the rights of being citizens,
so we have to be outlaws and rebels.
The newspapers used to ignore us,
but now they can’t.

Grab a book and join the fun.

  1. That cover bothers me. I’m that OCD to dislike the cover for it’s perception. She can hardly be walking through town at that height. It’s all proportioned wrong and I can’t get past it.
But the 56 pulled me past… and won’t hold me back from reading it! πŸ™‚
    Happy weekend!

    • The cover kind of bothered me too but I couldn’t figure out why. Now that you mentioned persepctive, I can’t see anything else when I look at it. πŸ™‚
      Thanks for stopping by!

    • It is a bit about women’s rights and the suffragettes in England. The title comes from a quote by Queen Victoria when she called the women’s rights movement a “mad, wicked folly” and begged everyone to drop it.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great week!
