{TTT} Lesser Known Books Every Fantasy Lover Should Read

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link-up hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week’s list is the Top Ten Books Every X Should Read. I am choosing to write about the Lesser Known Books Every Fantasy Lover Should Read. As a note, I am picking lesser known how I see it. If some of these are rather well-known, I may be unawares and then we should have a party! I also know it will be unlikely that I get to ten.

1. Green Rider series by Kristen Britain

You knew this one was going to make the top of the list, right? I love this series! (Well, not so much the most recent book, Mirror Sight, but the rest of them are great!) If you haven’t read this series yet, you totally should. I have talked about this quite a bit previously. Karigan has to be one of my favorite characters of ever.

2. The Medoran Chronicles by Lynette Noni

I love this series! This is probably more sci-fi since there is science behind the supposed magic so it really isn’t magic. However, to me, it is magic! I love the characters. I love the setting. I only seriously hate the terrible cliff-hanger endings (especially in Raelia).

3. The Last Oracle series by Emily Wibberley

This series is complete now! This is a huge bonus since I hate waiting for books to be released. *cough* Green Rider Series *cough* Anyway, I love this world Wibberley created and I love Clio. Sometimes she can be utterly insane (and maybe a bit dense), but I still love her.

4. Daughter of the Forest by Juliet Marillier

This one  may be a  little better known than some of the others I have listed. I love the way Juliet Marillier writes and I love Daughter of the Forest. Sorcha is a force to be reckoned with after all she does to try to help her brothers.

5. The Ring and the Crown by Melissa de la Cruz

This story is highly detailed. There are so many competing storylines and so many characters. It is a world where France and England are united under the Queen of the Franco-British Empire. Oh, and there is magic. The sequel is supposed to come out this year which is a bit exciting.

6. Dream A Little Dream by Kerstin Gier

I love this book so much! I read it after Dream Thieves and it, in a way, reminded me of that book. There is shared lucid dreaming and a whole lore more than just that going on.

7. Becoming Darkness by Lindsay Francis Brambles

What if Hitler had won the war? What if Hitler became an immortal vampire and still rules? Yep, that is what this book delves into. I really enjoyed reading it. It is an interesting culture and I really like Sophie.
