March 2016 in Review

Things that Happened in March

  • EASTER! The Easter Vigil is one of my favorite Masses of ever! Seriously, it is gorgeous even if it does get a bit long at times.
  • My little sister was able to come home for two days for Easter. It was great to see her.
  • I finally finished my application for graduate school. Now the nail-biting begins…
  • Things have been absolutely crazy at school. It has been so hectic that one of my co-teachers made the comment she has spent more time in the principal’s office in the last two weeks than she did her entire career as a student. Things definitely need to slow down soon.
  • I haven’t been feeling great this month. This is probably due to the stress of work and the students sharing their fun diseases with everyone they come in contact with.
  • My favorite book of the month was The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi. It was utterly amazing and beautiful. I shared some of my favorite quotes from it with my sister and now she wants an Amar. 🙂
  • My favorite reread of the month was Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J K Rowling. In fact, this was the only reread this month.

Things I’m Looking Forward to in April

  • I suppose I should say “My Birthday” here but I don’t really want to. I rarely look forward to my birthday. For one thing, no one ever believes me on my birthday when I tell them it is my birthday. For another, I hate all the jokes that get played. I’m okay with jokes sometimes, but not on my birthday.
  • This isn’t necessarily something I’m looking forward to, but religious education classes end the second week of April.

  1. Sorry I’m a day late, but I came by to wish you a happy birthday! Sorry that birthdays aren’t your favorite. I don’t get it, though – why wouldn’t people believe it’s your birthday? And why would people play tricks on you? Your friends and family confuse me! I hope it was much better than you expected!! 🙂

    • Thank you! My parents and my sister are pretty good about knowing what is acceptable on my birthday. It is everyone else who doesn’t. I ended up going to the city yesterday for book shopping and my birthday dinner at a restaurant I can actually eat at.
I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

  2. That’s great you had a nice Easter and that your sister could visit! 🙂 I had a fairly lowkey Easter, but I got to read a lot so that was nice. haha Hope you have a nice April and good luck on your grad school application- I hope you get in!

    • It is always nice to be able to spend time reading. 🙂
My April has been a bit hectic and it is only the 6th! On a high point, I should hear from the grad school by the end of next week.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a great rest of the week!

Sounds like you had an up and down month for March with the Easter celebrations and then feeling unwell which is no good 🙁 I hope you’ve made it into your grad school and have had a great birthday (if it’s already passed!). I love your reads for March and I can’t wait to get my hands on The Star Touched Queen!

    • I did get into grad school! I am a bit excited (and by a bit I mean a lot).
My birthday was the beginning of April. It was an okay day…
I hope you love The Star-Touched Queen when you read it. If you are interested, you can read my review here and I will be posting an excerpt on May 2nd.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you have an absolutely wonderful last week of April!

Wow congrats on getting in and I’d too be a bit excited 😉 Well a late happy birthday! Can you believe April is nearly over? Where has 4 months gone?!? It’s crazy.
Thanks for linking the review! Makes me even more excited to read and I also hope you have a great rest of the month!
