Things that Happened in May

  • We have had one of the craziest Mays ever. It was over 70*F one day, and the next is was snowing so bad that we almost lost power and cars got stuck on the road. Yep, this is simply life in Montana.
  • My little sister graduated from her undergrad program (BA in Psychology, if anyone is interested).
  • My little sister also happened to move home with me… with her cats (whom I am allergic to a lot more than my cat).
  • My family and I drove to visit our family in Wisconsin. We got home late yesterday. I had forgotten about this trip which means that my monthly wrap-up was not scheduled ahead of time.
  • The school year ended. This really is bittersweet. I love my job and I enjoy working with the students. However, summer is much appreciated.
  • My favorite book of the month was The Rose and the Dagger by Renee Ahdieh.

Things I’m Looking Forward to in June

  •  June will, hopefully, be much calmer than May was. In June, I will be going to Glacier National Park with my family, California for a friend’s wedding with my sister, and getting things ready for WYD in July/August.

  1. You read some great books though!! WOW! We’ve had wacky weather here too. In my part of Canada, it was summer one day, then woke to fall. Now it’s summer again a day later. I can’t keep up with Mother Nature anymore… lol
    Happy June!

    • This has been such a weird spring, weatherwise.
I was actually surprised I read so many books with it being the end of the school year.
I will have to look into why my site won’t let you add a link. Thanks for letting me know.
I hope you have a great June!

  2. What crazy whether! While we don’t experience that kind of change, where I live, high pressure and low pressure like to play tag with one another, which means I end up with a headache when they decide to change places, drives me crazy. It’s been a while since I picked up Beautiful Creatures, but I enjoyed it when I did. Hope your June is fantastic!

    • This was my first time reading Beautiful Creatures. I’d heard so much about it and my sister had said, “The book can’t be worse than the movie.” I’d never seen the movie so I decided to give the book a go. I had it on audio which was wonderful while traveling.
I hope you have a wonderful June as well! Thanks for stopping by.

  3. We had nearly 100 degree temperatures over the weekend here in “rainy” western Oregon. Very confusing. I wish I could still read in the car, but I guess audio books are a good solution. As a kid I’d read for hours in the backseat, but now I can’t even glance at a map without getting seasick. Sounds like you’re having a good time getting your vacation started!
