Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you
The greeting of the Archangel Gabriel calls Mary “full of grace.” Mary has been gifted with more grace than any of us could hope for. She is “full of grace,” without the stain of original sin. Mary was filled with grace so she could be the most pure Mother of the Son of God.
Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb
Elizabeth greets Mary as one who is blessed among women. Mary is blessed because of Jesus. Jesus, the Son of God and the Son of Mary, blesses His dear Mother. Jesus is the blessed fruit of blessed Mary’s womb.
Holy Mary, Mother of God
Mary is the Mother of Jesus, the Mother of the Christ, the Mother of God. Holy is Mary for her belief, her faith, her trust in God, the God who chose to become man born of Mary.
Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death
Mary, the Mother of God, is our Mother too. Will not Jesus listen to His Mother who intercedes on our behalf? We ask Mary, the Mother of God, to remember us and to speak to Jesus on our behalf.

Blessed are you among women
and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now
and at the hour of our death.
