Behold, the books!
There are nineteen new physical books to add to my shelves this month. Yay!
PaperBack Swap (4 Books)
Who doesn’t love getting credits for old college texts to then get amazing books??
- The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas – I read this one in high school and never owned a copy… until now.
- Who Needs God? by Cardinal Schönborn
- Catholic Customs & Traditions by Greg Dues
- Saints edited by Elizabeth Hallam
Book Exchange (2 Books)
This is a great new (cheap) and used (really cheap) bookstore in Missoula, MT. I was lucky enough to be in Missoula last weekend and so BOOKS!
- The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski
- Cinder by Marissa Meyer
Sam’s Club (2 Books)
My mom has a Sam’s Club membership and so this was also a stop last weekend. They don’t often have books that interest me but when they do, they are cheaper than full price.
- The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
- Mary: Blessed Art Thou Among Women by LIFE Magazine
Barnes and Noble (2 Books)
This was another stop on the Missoula weekend. I have this hard time saying “no” in a bookstore but I did manage to stick to the bargain books section (even though I wanted so so many other books).
- Pope Francis: His Essential Wisdom
- The Book of Saints by Jo Rose
Monthly Library Used Book Sale (9 Books)
This book sale is hosted by the library. They take donations of books and then sell them to raise money for the library. Sometimes old library books are also added to the shelves. Most people buy books one month and then a few months later donate them back. I, however, like to collect and amass books. The variety here is every changing. I often pick up some books for my classroom and then a few for me. When paperbacks are priced 25-50¢, I tend to grab more than just a few books.
- Dragon’s Blood by Jane Yolen
- Heart’s Blood by Jane Yolen
- Midnight Predator by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes
- Mary, Bloody Mary by Carolyn Meyer
- A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett
- Pictures of Hollis Woods by Patricia Reilly Giff
- Midnight Magic by Avi
- Zipporah, Wife of Moses by Marek Halter
- A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray
So that is the wonderful nineteen new editions to my shelves this month. Happy last day of the month to all!
I love library sales!! Ours usually has a bag sale on the last day, which is very dangerous! 🙂

Guess I should have clarified – a sale where you can get a whole bag of books for $5 (not where they’re selling bags). 🙂
The library I went to in Wisconsin (near where I went to undergrad) had a sale once a year where a whole paper bag was $5. I loved that sale.
