My Review
I love this book so much! I read it as soon as I could after it was released but decided to wait on this review until today, the first day of winter. How appropriate!
The book takes place mainly on Luna. It is on Luna where Kai is to marry Levana and so quite a few Earthens have to be there. Cinder and her crew (Cress, Thorne, Wolf and Iko) are going to attempt to find Scarlet and start a revolution.
We get to know more about Princess Winter, the stepdaughter of Levana. She is a beauty and refuses to use her Lunar gift like Levana does. That refusal leads to basically a mental breakdown where Winter cannot tell what is true and what is false.
This is where Jacin comes in. He has always helped Winter come back to reality, to him. They both have feelings for each other, but they know nothing can happen since Levana would never want Winter to be with a palace guard. Jacin would do anything for Princess Winter which is what makes him such a great guard.
The reality of everything that can be done with the Lunar gift is quite amazing. I know that we knew about that before this book, but this book makes it all really obvious since they are on Luna and all. It is a pretty powerful ability.
I love this book especially with the way we get to see all our previous favorite characters again. I completely adore Winter. She is so sweet and I can totally understand her refusal to use her Lunar gift. Not wanting to manipulate people ever is a pretty amazing trait and Winter definitely has it.
I firmly believe that everyone should read this series. It is amazing! I cannot believe that this the last book in the series.
