FromΒ The Magician’s Nephew by C.S. Lewis:
Polly was just beginning to cry, not with fear, and not even because he had hurt her wrist quite badly, but with furious anger. Within two seconds, however, they had something to think about that drove their own quarrels quite out of their minds.
Grab a book and join the fun.
I still haven’t read anything by C.S. Lewis which I’m slightly ashamed about! I wonder what exactly happened to Polly but also what got their attention! I will have to start reading the Narnia books!! Thanks for sharing π I hope you enjoy your weekend!

I hope you enjoy your weekend as well.
Great quote! You’ve got me yearning for more. I read this book when I was much younger (maybe the age of your students?) and it’s such a great story. Thanks for sharing.
Here’s my Friday 56.
The students I’m reading this with are sixth graders. We just completed chapter 2 and they love it so far.
I haven’t read the whole Chronicles of Narnia series, but I have read The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe and Prince Caspian. I should probably read the rest of the series. Happy reading.
My 56
I recommend all of the Narnia books. I love them.
We have some of the Narnia books in our library collection, but I haven’t read them. I need to remedy that!
My Friday post features A DARK & STORMY KNIGHT.
The Narnia books are great. My students love them.
When I reread this series as an adult this was absolutely my favorite! I loved how it showed without emphasis how all the details in Narnia happened – like the lamp post and the wardrobe. Thanks for sharing and reminding me! I’ll have to reread this one.
No problem. Thanks for visiting.
Interesting 56. I never read this.
Thanks for visiting.
I hope you have a great weekend.
I love this book! Happy weekend!
It is a great book.
Happy weekend to you as well.
I did read the first book some time ago but never got back to it. I know that feeling about crying when you are mad. It makes me even more mad that I cry. LOL

You can never go wrong with Narnia – you’ve reminded me of how much I want to reread the series. π
