Things that Happened in July
- As you probably heard, I went to Europe for World Youth Day in Krakow, Poland. It was amazing! Pictures will soon be following (and a longer post about it).
- Because of the aforementioned trip, I was only in the country the first half of July.
- I only managed to read three books.

Things that Happened in June
- I spent a weekend at Glacier National Park. I kind of sort of love it there. It is beautiful. If you haven’t gone, you definitely should!
- I attended my friend’s wedding in California. My sister came with me and we had a blast.
- I’ve been doing quite a bit of prep for the upcoming school year. I can’t believe June is over already! Only a month and a half until I am back in the classroom.
- I did not reread any books this month. Wow! I am pretty sure that is a first this year.
- I messed with my blog fonts last weekend (and updated my About Me page). I ended up changing up the fonts (both headers and body text) and simplifying my header. My design itself hadn’t changed since last October. Please let me know what you think about the changes! Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Below is the screenshot I took last October after my last design update:

In case you are unaware, I am an elementary school teacher. I work in the special education room with both SPED and Title students. In our classroom, every day is a new adventure. Even though we have lesson plans, I don’t think we had a single day this year where we actually followed it in it’s entirety. We schedule in a little crazy but this year has been even crazier than anticipated.

It is a bit funny that this is the topic of the day. Last week, I wrote a post about how I would never have survived Harry’s fourth year at Hogwarts.
There are so many fictional worlds it would be awesome to live in. However, I have very little confidence in my ability to survive in any of them.
I know I would never be able to survive Sacoridia. Much as I love the Green Rider series, I would never be able to survive there! Groundmites or something from Blackveil would have killed me early on.
The same goes for Sheehan and Morek in The Last Oracle series. I don’t have any faith in my ability to survive Clio’s world.
At the moment, I cannot think of any fictional worlds in which I might be able to survive. Obviously, I have no faith in my abilities. I would survive best in my own world surrounded by my books.
Which fictional worlds would you be able to survive? Which would eat you alive?
