This is yet another book that I read when I was younger. Winter’s Child is a retelling of The Snow Queen. It has been years since I read this book so, when I saw it at the library, I decided a reread was in order.
From Winter’s Child by Cameron Dokey:
After all these years, he still called me Little One,
the nickname he’d given me as a child so that neither of us
would have to spend our days listening to him call me Sorrow.
I'm linking up with the Friday 56, so I'll invite you to go grab a book and join the fun.

Very pretty cover. Must be pretty good if you want to reread it. Enjoy the weekend.

I don’t remember it very well besides the basic storyline. That is why I’m rereading it.
Thanks for visiting. I hope you have a great weekend!
I have seen books by this author around but haven’t had a chance to read any yet. I hope you are enjoying your re-read. I am spotlighting Jockey Girl by Shelley Peterson – a story to win any horse lovers heart. Happy reading!
Since I don’t remember much from the first time I read it, the beginning has been interesting.
Thanks for visiting. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Mine this week is also a book I read when I was younger but is much simpler than this one! I’ve read a few retellings of The Snow Queen and they’re usually my favorite of the fairy tale redos. This one looks really lovely and like a book I’d enjoy even now. Thanks for sharing!
No problem.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a great weekend!
Perfect time of the year to read this one! Happy weekend!
That was my thought.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
I haven’t heard of this one, but it’s such a lovely looking book. Enjoy the weekend!
Thank you. I hope you have a wonderful weekend as well!
Is her real name Sorrow? The quote is really beautiful and intriguing. I’m always looking for more retellings.
Her name is Deirdre which apparently means Sorrow.
Thanks for visiting. I hope the end of your weekend is great.
I haven’t read very many retelling of this story. Happy reading!
Check out my Friday 56 (With Book Beginnings).
