{TTT} Books Should be Accompanied by Soundtracks

Posted February 16, 2016 in Reading / 2 Comments

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link-up hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

The theme this week is Books and Music. I really don’t listen to a whole lot of music, so this might be a bit hard. Typically, I only put music on when I am driving across town (5 minutes). Anything longer than that will be at least one hour and forty minutes since I live in Montana and things are so spread out. Longer drive warrant an audiobook.

I guess this means that this week I am going to give you some books (more like three) I think should have songs/ballads written about them. If there actually are songs written about any of these books, I am most likely completely oblivious to that fact. Please let me know in the comments.

January 2016 in Review

Things that Happened in January

  • It has been a stressful month. Apparently my brain needed books to manage the stress because I read quite a few books this month. And by “quite a few,” I mean “a lot.”
  • On the topic of the above, please pray for my sister. I can’t say more since I don’t want to share her story here, but she does need prayers.
  • I was able to attend my friend’s wedding in Washington, DC and it was beautiful. It was great to see so many friends that I haven’t seen in two years.
  • I read 17 books this month which is A LOT! I blame quite a bit of it on the traveling I did to and from Washington, DC. There isn’t much to do on a plane besides read and so I read.
  • My favorite book of the month (non-reread) was Illuminae and my favorite reread was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link-up hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week’s list is the Top Ten Books on My Christmas Wishlist. Well, I have more than ten books that I would love to receive for Christmas but I’ll limit this to the possibilities. That means I’m only going to list three. These are the three that I have been talking to my family about the most and so they are actual possibilities.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link-up hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week’s list is the Top Ten Inspiring Quotes from Books. I haven’t gotten into the habit of copying down quotes. I really want to but I’m not quite there yet. So, the following quotes are either from books I have read recently or books I have read multiple times and am very familiar with. And they might not all be “inspiring.” 🙂
