Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link-up hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
This week’s list is the Top Ten Books on my Christmas Wish List.
1. Mirror Sight by Kristen Britain
Because it is Kristen Britain and part of the Green Rider series. And I, for some unknown reason, did not purchase it yet.
2. These Broken Stars by Aime Kaufman and Megan Spooner
I keep hearing about this series from blogs I stalk such as Cait @ Paper Fury and Emily @ The Loony Teen Writer. This Shattered World also sounds good but I like to read series in order. Therefore, These Broken Stars.
3. Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein
This is another book I keep hearing about that sounds really good.
4. The 4 Volume Liturgy of the Hours Set published by Catholic Book Publishing Company
I used to have a set of these when I was in the convent. I left those ones there and purchased the one volume Christian Prayer when I left. Now, I would love a set again.
5. The 1962 Roman Catholic Daily Missal published by Angelus Press
The current 1962 missal that I have is, quite literally, palm sized.
6. Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide by Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn
I listened to the audiobook of this over the summer. It was awesome just like the documentary. I would love my own copy.
7. Leisure: The Basis of Culture by Josef Pieper
I read some of Pieper’s work in college but never this book. I heard quite a bit about it from one professor and I think I sounds good.
8. YOUCAT by Cardinal Schönborn
Simply because it is the YOUCAT and I don’t have a copy.
9. The Jewel by Amy Ewing
This book was mentioned to me in passing so I looked it up. It sounds like it might be a great book.
10. Mary: The Church at the Source by Hans Urs von Balthasar and Pope Benedict XVI
First, it is by von Balthasar and Pope Benedict XVI. Do I need to say anything more? It is also about Mary and the Church. Yes, please.
These are the Top Ten Books on my Christmas Wish List. Feel free to share yours as well and check out the rest of them at The Broke and the Bookish.
I really loved Code Name Verity, and I’m hoping to find time to re-read it soon! Wishing you a merry Christmas — and I hope some great books come your way!
Thank you. Merry Christmas to you as well!
Wow! What a great list. I hope you get your hands on all of them.
I hope you get a ton of great books for Christmas. Here’s my wishlist.
I still have a $30 giveaway to Amazon going so maybe I can help you get some of these books.
P.S. I’m also currently reading Esther. Not sure what I think of it so far.
Thanks. I don’t think I’ll get most of them for Christmas but maybe I’ll acquire them during the year.
