Tomorrow is the first day of school for students in my school district. It is the first day that students will be in the building. It is crazy to think that it is already the end of August! The summer went by so fast, especially with camp being part of my summer. To commemorate this wonderful going back to school, or at least to make it slightly better if you typically don’t like it, I have decided to host a giveaway.
Yes, I know, you are extremely excited. You are probably on the edge of your chairs yelling, “What are you giving away, Amanda?” Let me tell you. I always want to encourage my students to read and so I bring a lot of great books into the classroom. Since you are all probably older than my students (fifth and sixth grade), I am going to offer you the chance to win a book off of my All Time Favorites list. You can view this list on my blog hereΒ or on Goodreads here. The Goodreads shelf includes some books I read before I started the blog and is the most complete list.
Giveaway Rules:
- The Book Depository must ship to you if you are outside of the United States. If you are unsure, check thatΒ before entering.
- You have to be at least 18 years old. I’m in the United States and don’t want to get into the legal stuff with minors. If you are under 18, you need to be at least 16 and have parental permission. If you are younger than that, log out of Rafflecopter using the little menu on the upper right of the giveaway widget and have your parent/guardian log in.
- Only one entry per person. Don’t cheat. It isn’t very nice.
- The winner will be chosen by random via Rafflecopter.
- Once the giveaway winner is contacted (September 7th), they have 48 hours to respond before another winner is chosen.
- I am not responsible for lost or stolen packages.
a Rafflecopter giveaway
Good Luck! The giveaway winner will be contacted on September 7th as I will be gone that weekend. The winner must respond to my email within 48Β hours or another winner will be selected. I am going to verify entries so please don’t cheat. I hope you all have a great school year if you are still in school or teaching. If not, I hope you have a great Fall Season (unless you’re the southern hemisphere and then it is Spring).Β
Thanks for hosting this giveaway, Amanda! Have you read Janet Lee Carey’s Dragonswood? Technically it’s part of a series, but it can also be read as a standalone. Also anything by Juliet Marillier is a winner.

I haven’t read Dragonswood though I have read Daughter of the Forest and Son of the Prophecy by Juliet Marillier. I’m actually planning to reread Daughter of the Forest soon.
Thank you for visiting!
How fun! Thank you for doing this Amanda! π

Hello Amanda! I think it’s wonderful that you want to celebrate the start of the school year! A book in my All Times favourites list is The Name of the Wind, by Patrick Rothfuss. Fantastic Fantasy book! Unfortunately, I read it before I started my blog and don’t have a review available yet, but it will soon be there!
Thank you. I think it’s time we had something fun at the beginning of the school year.
I haven’t heard of The Name of the Wind but I’m heading over to Goodreads to find out more.
Thanks for visiting!
Omg you are so generous! Thanks for the giveaway! And I recommended The Book Thief but I don’t know if you’ve read that one or not…IT’S INCREDIBLE AND BROKE MY HEART. *flops on the ground with feels* Good luck starting school!! It’s nearly holidays for the students in Australia, which is great because I’ll have my sister around again to annoy. π

I actually have a copy of The Book Thief on my shelf but haven’t read it yet. I have heard some amazing things about it and really need to pick it up.
Have a great holiday, Cait, and thanks for visiting!
The Grave Mercy series and The Lunar Chronicles make my All-Time Favorites list too!

Those are wonderful series. They are very different from each other (historical fiction and science fiction) but I love them both.
Thanks for stopping by!
I love the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas. If you haven’t read it yet, I totally recommend it! Thank you for this amazing chance! π
I’ve only read Throne of Glass from the series and I really enjoyed it. I am going to have to lay my hands on the rest though.
Thanks for visiting!
