In this short story addition to Sacrificed (The Last Oracle, Book I), discover Riece’s point of view when he first met his new and beautiful prisoner, Clio, inside Morek’s great pyramid.
This story is best read after Sacrificed but can be read during any point in the series.
So this is a short story, a really short story. When I say short here, I mean as in only one scene. This scene was actually in Sacrificed but now it is retold from Riece’s point of view.
The scene this short story retells is the first time that Riece meets Clio. I loved seeing his thoughts of that moment and how he already cared for her even knowing nothing about her save that she was a slave soon to be sacrificed atop Morek’s pyramid.
In all, this was a quick read of a wonderfully written scene told by Riece. If you read Sacrificed and loved Riece, you’ll love this story.
