Things that Happened in August

  • I returned home from summer camp! It was a fun time but I am glad to be home.
  • I survived the days of smoke so thick I could not see more than a block ahead of me. When I went to drive into town, my vehicle put the auto-lights on because it thought it was night. It has never been this bad that I recall. Yay for the forest fires of Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Canada.
  • I started school again. Back in the classroom with fifth and sixth grade students.
  • Speaking of being back in the classroom, I’m going to leave you with one very short sentence: I hate lice! (Thankfully I do not have any.)

    • I so loved The Wrath and the Dawn! It was such a great book.
I cannot wait to start Kiss of Deception. Hopefully I will get the chance this weekend.
      Thanks for visiting!

  1. We’ve had terrible episodes with smokes in Northern California too. This seems to be the case every summer though; especially since we live close to several National Forests :/

You read a few books I’m dying to read: Fire Study, An Ember in the Ashes and Serphina. I’m curious to know your thoughts on the books.

Best of wishes for the month of September 🙂

    • We always have some smoke but this year just seemed exceptionally bad. 🙁

My reviews on Fire Study, An Ember in the Ashes, and Seraphina are coming up this week and next. I hope you check them out. I enjoyed them all quite a bit.

I hope you have a wonderful September! Thanks for visiting!
