Things that Happened in August

  • I returned home from summer camp! It was a fun time but I am glad to be home.
  • I survived the days of smoke so thick I could not see more than a block ahead of me. When I went to drive into town, my vehicle put the auto-lights on because it thought it was night. It has never been this bad that I recall. Yay for the forest fires of Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Canada.
  • I started school again. Back in the classroom with fifth and sixth grade students.
  • Speaking of being back in the classroom, I’m going to leave you with one very short sentence: I hate lice! (Thankfully I do not have any.)

So he posts a challenge to all the suitors in the kingdom: The first man to discover where his daughters have been is free to marry the one he chooses.
Meanwhile a handsome young knight named Bedivere is involved in a challenge of his own: to return the powerful sword, Excalibur, to a mysterious lake. While looking for the lake, Bedivere meets the beautiful Rowena and falls for her. Bedivere knows that accepting Sir Ethan’s challenge is the only opportunity for him to be with Rowena forever. But this puts both Bedivere and Rowena in a dangerous situation…one in which they risk their lives for a chance at love.

June and July 2015 in Review

It has been a crazy month and a half! I will share some of my summer camp experience here but most will wait until it’s own post with pictures!

Things that Happened in June & July

  • As you may recall from a previous post, I spent the summer working at a great Catholic summer camp. I really want to talk a lot about that but I promise I will post more with pictures later.
  • I survived 6 weeks without much cell phone service or internet. It was really great for me.
  • I also read things that I wanted to read rather than what I needed to read based on review copies and such.

February 2015 in Review

Posted February 28, 2015 in Faith, Reading / 2 Comments

It is so hard to believe it is the end of February already. This has been a crazy month.

Things that Happened in February

  • Lent started with Ash Wednesday the beginning of the month.
  • I got the nasty cold thing going around the school. I have to remember to thank my students for that one.
  • We had this really great false spring with temperatures in the 60s (Farenheit) and then we were down to the negatives again.
  • I left town twice this month! This is pretty big when the closest other places are 2+ hours away and there is a lot of snow on the ground.
  • I spent a great deal of time with my head in a book and I am perfectly okay with that.
